Training in Logistics

The Driver CPC is a course for LGV/HGV and PCV drivers who drive professionally throughout the UK. It has been developed as a requirement of the EU Directive 2003/59, which is designed to improve the knowledge and skills of professional HGV/LGV and PCV/PSV drivers throughout their working life. All existing LGV/HGV and PCV/PSV drivers are required to complete  35 hours of periodic training by September 2019, Courses are available throughout Worcestershire, the Midlands or your premises throughout  the UK.

To help control the costs of driver/delegate time and expenses – training can be arranged to be carried out at your premises or at a suitable venue near you.
Training happens most weekends you can confirm our courses and approval via the DVSA web site, training start times can also be varied to accommodate your current shift patterns / start times.

September 2024 DCPC Deadline

The renewal deadline for many professional LGV drivers to complete their periodic Driver CPC training is just 7 months away in September 2024.

In order to complete all 35 hours of Driver CPC training before your deadline - don't leave it until the last minute.

We have both five-day courses and one day courses available to book now. Each one day course counts as seven hours towards your 35 hour required total.

EU Drivers Hours rules change August 2020

  1. a requirement for drivers’ to ‘return home’ every 4 weeks
  2. a ban on taking regular weekly rest periods in the driver’s vehicle
  3. a new definition of ‘non-commercial carriage’
  4. more flexibility on the scheduling of the rest periods for some drivers on international carriage of goods
  5. new provisions for rests and breaks for drivers when journeys involve transport by ferry or by rail
  6. a new requirement to keep a full record of all other work.
